IMDB rating: 7.50 Plot: A long time ago, far away on the planet of Cybertron, a war was being waged between the noble Autobots (led by the wise Optimus Prime) and the devious Decepticons (commanded by the dreaded Megatron) for control over the Allspark, a mystical talisman that would grant unlimited power to whoever possessed it. The Autobots managed to smuggle the Allspark off the planet, but Megatron blasted off in search of it. He eventually tracked it to the planet of Earth (circa 1850), but his reckless desire for power sent him right into the Arctic Ocean, and the sheer cold forced him into a paralyzed state. His body was later found by Captain Archibald Witwicky, and before going into a comatose state Megatron used the last of his energy to engrave a map, showing the location of the Allspark, into the Captain’s glasses, and send a transmission to Cybertron. He is then carted away by the Captain’s ship. A century later, Sam Witwicky, nicknamed Spike by his friends, buys his first car. To his shock, he discovers it to be Bumblebee, an Autobot in disguise who is to protect Spike, as he bears the Captain’s glasses and the map carved on them. But Bumblebee is not the only Transformer to have arrived on Earth - in the desert of Qatar, the Decepticons Blackout and Scorponok attack a U.S. military base, causing the Pentagon to send their special Sector Seven agents to capture all “specimens of this alien race,” and Spike and his girlfriend Mikaela find themselves in the middle of a grand battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons, stretching from Hoover Dam all the way to Los Angeles. Meanwhile, within the depths of Hoover Dam, the cryogenically stored form of Megatron awakens… |

Why have Twilight 1+2 have not been nominated 4 Best picture+how come the actors?
And how come actors Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner or Robert Pattinson haven’t been nominated 4 best actors or supporting actors. The produces spent $87 million on the movies, the movie grossed $1,089,275,896, and the 3 actors, especially Taylor and Robert began receive a lot of attention from Hollywood. What more do the oscar people want? F***ing animated Up, and Inglorious bastards, a mockery of World War II gets chosen over Twilight. I’m pissed that film like these and Transformers, Harry Potter and Star Trek goes unnoticed by the oscar people.
Because Twilight is shit.

…. why isn’t Twilight nominated? Because the only people who enjoy it are little teen girls.
Up was a great hearty movie, and Inglorious Bastards was hilarious. Obviously they would be chosen over Twilight.

Same reason Jackass the Movie Parts 1 & 2, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans, etc. didn’t get nominated.
Twilight is of the same ‘quality’ (if you could call it that) of those movies.

I know you would like to imagine that the movies deserve a reward, but in all honesty, they are very terribly filmed movies. Anyone that had no idea what twilight was about would probably not have enjoyed waitching the movies for the first time.

Sweetie, I hate to tell you this, but the majority of people hate those movies. I am one of the majority. The world is not full of pre-teens with raging hormones. Up and Inglorious Basterds were both good films with great acting and an impressive and unique storyline…They don’t choose films based off of the amount of money grossed…

Because they sucked. The oscars don’t grant trophies for high grossing movies supported by teeny boppers. They grant oscars for good acting and those two yahoos in that movie are far from great actors. Teen movies and action movies with cut & paste plots don’t get oscars. They never have and never will. Sorry.

Because it only appeals to immature teenage girls. Why WOULD it be nominated for those things? Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are only mediocre. Taylor Lautner could do mcuh better if given the opportunity to be in a good movie.
Again, those actors don’t receive a lot of attention in Hollywood, they receive a lot of attention in junior high locker rooms.
Even the people I know that enjoyed the books say the movies sucked.

The reason is cuz oscars are not for WORST movie of the year.
Now maybe some doctors might think the Twilight movies are good…cuz it works almost as good as anesthesia, and without drugs.
Also, it’s really hard to nominate a movie for something if u slept thru it.

Twilight has to be one of the worst books ever written, and the movie backs this up. I lost respect for the actors that said yes to playing a role in the movie, surely they would have read the script before saying yes. The day Twilight gets nominated for best anything, I’ll ride a horse naked through the streets of Paris.

twilight is a great movie, (the books are better) but they decided to go with summit entertainment for some odd reason, and summit sucks at special animation, graphics, and pretend images, which is alot of what twilight is, though the content is wonderful in the books, they condense the movie too much for lazy people, and the make up doesn’t even cover the vampires faces all the time…

Not trying to sound rude in any way; But you’re talking about the OSCARS. The Oscars is a very high class motion picture academy. At least more than half of the critiques there can give you millions of reason why it wasnt nominated. But for the kind of movie of what Twilight is, one reason is GOOD enough. I have nothing against Twilight at all, im just pointing the facts. You’re dealing with professional directors, producers, actors, critiques, and more. There some amazing people. But what the other person said is right. Twilight fits more in the MTV awards. for TEENS.

Because Twilight only appeals to teenage girls and is also a bad movie, the book is also bad. Up and Inglorious Basterds are both very good movies and the academy awards are for good movies. As for the actors all three of the ones you mentioned cannot act, the only reason they do so well in the twilight movies is because the material sucks.
